VISION

An ethnically diverse education workforce in Northeast Tennessee’s K-12 schools

This region is a place of culture and comfort…

There’s a growing voice of diversity  in our region and its getting stronger.  In the DEI TEACH Initiative of Northeast Tennessee, area school systems share this common vision.   We invite you to listen as teachers share the benefits of living and working in our region.

This collaboration has been supported by Kingsport City Schools, Johnson City Schools, Bristol City Schools, Greeneville City Schools, the First Tennessee Development District, and the United Ways of Northeast Tennessee.

DEI Teach initiative is a regional, collaborative network of stakeholders united around the common vision to this long-term diversity project. The mission of this project is to recruit, support and retain outstanding candidates of color for our Northeast Tennessee K-12 schools.   Our vision is an ethnically and racially diverse education workforce in Northeast Tennessee’s K-12 schools.

This video was made possible with a grant from the United Way of Greater Kingsport.   For more information contact frontdesk@uwaykpt.org.
